Professor Rapee Sagarik was a Thai horticulturist, botanist and orchid expert. He was a professor at Kasetsart University and served as its president from 1972 to 1980. In addition to scientifically studying and cataloging orchids, for which he became known as the “father of Thai orchidology”

Thai Orchid Exporters Association Visits Taiwan Orchid Growers Association to Strengthen Industry Collaboration
On 27 March 2026, the President of the Thai Orchid Exporters Association, together with the association’s delegation, paid a courtesy visit to Mr.Wen-Jung Huang, President of the Taiwan Orchid Growers Association (TOGA), at Floral Industry Innovative Park in Tainan, Taiwan.The meeting aimed to discuss and exchange knowledge on orchid cultivation, quality development, as well as approaches to organizing orchid exhibitions and showcases at the international level. This visit marks the first step toward cooperation between the orchid industries of both countries, strengthening bilateral relations and paving the way for future collaboration and development of the orchid industry.
